A tiny village, Dhaban, in Himachal Pradesh has come into prominence after a massive oil exploration work was started by a group of experts. There is lot of excitement in governmental circles following the reports that there are large deposits of oil in different parts of the state. If the ONGC claim of huge oil reserves turns out to be true, it would open up a lot of potential in this hilly state which has no other resources except hydel power generation and vast tourism potential.
