Addressing the State Assembly on the opening day of the budget session, the Madhya Pradesh Governor, Bhai Mahavir spoke at length about the government's "achievements' in priority sectors like agriculture, education , and health. The Governor also gave full credit to the State Government for its multi-directional strategy aimed at empowering people through the Panchayati Raj institutions, local bodies and village level committees as part of a massive initiative to decentralise power and build up leadership among the people at the grass root level.
