The Chairman of the Punjab State Electricity Board (PSEB), Mr. G.S. Sohal, has said that fears regarding radioactivity affecting the people in its vicinity if the nuclear power plant was set up in the State, were entirely baseless, as the latest and modern six tier safety technology was proposed to be used. He scoffed all apprehensions regarding the plant posing a major environmental hazard.
