All the 1,467 families in the two coastal villages of Akkarpatti and Pofran, barely 80 km from Mumbai, will soon have to make way for the upcoming units III and IV of the Tarapur Atomic Power Plant (TAPP). By now the villagers ought to have been relocated by the state government, which is responsible for making land avilable for the power project and rehabilitating the displaced.
