In an effort to reduce the cost of electricity, the government is considering a 'control mechanism' proposal for fuel prices of the power projects. Sources said that the inter-disciplinary committee on reducing the cost of power constituted by power minister Suresh Prabhu, has recommended this step and the suggestion is under consideration of the government.
