Measles cases are showing a sharp increase in the country. The government, in a note, has warned that large-scale outbreak of the disease may occur next year, if immmediate steps are not taken. The number of measles cases reported in 1995 was 31,397 . By 1997, however,the figure had almost doubled. The reported cases during the year were 61,004.
