The United Nations should ban fishermen from hacking off shark fins and throwing the rest of the animal back in the sea to die, an environmental group said yesterday. "For a lot of people having sharks is a luxury, for others it is a necessity," Peter Knights, director of environmental group Wildaid, told a news conference.
