The Gujarat government has decided to drop its ambitious small capacity and barge mounted power projects, and approached the central government to reallocate naphtha to four public sector companies in the state-including Kribhco and GSPCL-for their power projects. The decision taken recently, marks a major shift in the government's policy as fuel allocated originaly for about 12 small capacity power projects in the private sector is likely to be reallocated to power projects in the public sector.
