The proposed Rs 5,000 crore, 900 mw Hansthal creek tidal wave project in the Gulf of Kutch in Gujarat has gained further impetus with the appointment of a Mauritius government official as adviser for the project. Centre has also decided to conduct preliminary surveys on the feasibility of an even bigger tidal wave project in the area - the colossal 6,000 mw Gulf of Cambay project.
