Singhdeo : For a person known to be averse to the concept of major dams, having right through advocated community participation in harnessing rain water, the high profile portfolio Water Resources appear to be a mismatch. However, Ramchandra singhdeo finds himself at the helm of affairs of the Water Resources department time and again. This is the third time he has been entrusted with the crucial portfolio. Talking to M P Chronicle, Singhdeo says that despite his disagreement on several issues he appears to have developed a liking for the department and wants to bring about a revolution in increasing irrigation potential in the State. This would be achieved by the involvement of people through simpler process like mini watersheds, instead of mega projects.
