Haryana Non-Conventional Energy Sources Department would cover 6,029 families under its SPV home lighting scheme at a cost of Rs 5.36 crore this financial year, according to an official spokesman here on Monday. The department has installed 285 SPV street lighting systems so far. He said the target to cover 8,000 families under the solar lanterns scheme too had been set.
