Electricity rates for the domestic and industrial consumers in Haryana have substantially been raised by 15 per cent with effect from June 15, 1998. This is expected to bring in additional revenue to the Haryana State Electricity Board (HSEB) to the tune of nearly Rs 225 crore annually. This will also result in nil commercial loss to the board by March 1999, according to highly placed HSEB sources in the board.
