The Haryana Government has decided to constitute two new corporations to distribute electricity. Presently the power distribution is being taken care of by Haryana Vidyut Prasaran Nigam (HVPN), while generation has been entrusted to the Haryana Vidyut Utpadan Nigam. The new corporations, the Uttar Haryana Bijli Nigam (UHBN) and the Dakshin Haryana Bijli Nigam (DHBN), will start functioning from April 1 next.
