Haryana has topped in the implementation of rural development schemes in the country in 2001-02, followed by Madhya Pradesh. Haryana was ranked second in 2000-01. According to a Haryana government official, of the Rs 106.21 crore funds for the major rural development schemes, 87.67 per cent, or Rs 93.12 crore,was spent till March.
