The High Court has directed the Ores Power Generation Corporation (OPGC) not to shut down any generating unit at Ib thermal power station without its permission. Justice Laxmikanta Mohapatra, the vacation judge, issued the directive following a writ petition filed by Grid Corporation of Ores Ltd (Gridco) challenging the decision of OPGC managing director Edward Grayson Harvel to shut down one of the two generating units of the plant recently.
