The Punjab Health authorities will soon be equipped to communicate more effectively with the people of the state on all the important issues concerning health of the mother and the child and the adverse effects of drinking, smoking and environmental pollution. A four-member team of the CECHE, the Washington-based Centre for Communications Health and Environment is here to help them in this regard in a technologically better and visibly more effective manner through television. The team will help the Punjab Health Department, in preparing documentaries for screening all over the state particularly in the rural areas through the Regional Centre of Doordarshan.
