A comprehensive health care programme for school-going children, School Health Annual Report Programme (SHARP), is being launched in the Capital in July, covering private and public institutions.The programme, based on the guidelines of the American School Health Association (ASHA), is intended for school children in Third World countries, aims at safeguarding the health of school-going children using preventive methods, and the emphasis in on high quality school health instruction, health services and a healthful school environment, the director of SHARP, Ms. Menaka Sharma has said.
