Hole in ozone layer could be closed within 50 years

The hole in the ozone layer will soon begin to shrink and could close completely over the next 50 years, according to an analysis of the latest data. Professor Alan O'Neill, a researcher at Reading University in the UK who chaired a conference that analysed the data, said the prospect of reversing the ozone hole vindicated efforts to develop global solutions to environmental problems.
