Melbourne researchers hope to use the human hormones estrogen and progesterone to improve the survival rate of heart attack patients. There is anecdotal evidence that these hormones improve patients' moods. Researchers at the Baker Medical Research Institute plan to test the individual and combined effects of the hormones in human trials later this year.
