The Delhi government will prepare a Human Development Report (HDR) for the Capital along the lines of the annual Human Development Index prepared by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP). The report will rank the city of Delhi according to various indices and will show a comparative picture of Delhi with the other states of the country. A tripartite MoU involving the Delhi government, the UNDP and the Planning Commission of India, which are partly funding the project will be signed. The HDR is expected to have several indicators which play a role in determining the living standard of citizens. Some of the indicators are social, education, child mortality, water, transport and environment. The likely impact of migration on the city is also expected to be studied.
