Human Rights Watch has accused U.S. energy giant Enron Corp. of failing to stop alleged human-rights abuses by Indian police against opponents of the company's $2.4 billion power plant, India's largest foreign investment. The New York based rights organization is to release a 166-page report which it says documents "systematic suppression of freedom of expression and peaceful assembly, as well as police use of arbitrary detentions and excessive force against opponents of the Enron project."
