The International Energy Agency has commended the United States on the great progress it has made over the last two decades in deregulating its gas industry, and more recently its electricity market. The commendation appears in a report released at the World Energy Council Conference in Houston, Energy Policies of IEA Countries-The United States-1998 Review.
