The Executive Director of the International Energy Agency, Mr. Robert Priddle, released the Agency's report on the energy policies of Japan. The IEA report acknowledges that Japan has led the world in many aspects of energy policy. It has made full use of international energy markets to achieve energy security by diversity of supply; it has made major improvements in energy efficiency, and it is continuing to expand nuclear power generation.
