In a report released in Bonn, Energy Policies of IEA Countries - Germany - 1998 Review, the International Energy Agency praises measures Germany has taken to liberalise electricity and gas markets and reduce hard coal subsidies, as well as its ambitious target for CO2 emissions cuts.
