It is time to promise, Manifestos come a dime a dozen. For decades political parties have been spelling out manifestos that would have meant a utopian state for India if they had been carried out. So the word has earned a cheaper connotation and no one believes a manifesto proclaimed by a party. A doctor affiliated with the local branch of the Indian Medical Association says, the parties are aware that the people do not take their word seriously. But there is a way out, said the doctor who handed over a copy of the IMA election manifesto," Parties should take our manifesto seriously and implement it to the best of their ability and only then will the people trust the creditability manifestos."
