India, China among worlds 3 largest economies by 2050

Research and Information System for the Non-aligned and Other Developing countries (RIS) has suggested in its South-Asia Development and Co-operation Report 2004, that India and China will emerge among the world's three largest economies by 2050. Helped by robust recovery of the US economy and strong growth in China and India, among other Asian economies, the world economy is likely to grow at 3.2 per cent in 2003 and 4.1 per cent in 2004.
