India threatens WTO with non-cooperation

India on Monday issued a veiled threat to the World Trade Organisation that it may not cooperate with the world body on several crucial multilateral trade negotiations unless the latter shows some concern about its demands. Emerging from a meeting with Japanese trade minister Tadakatshu Samo, commerce and industry minister Arun Shourie said that WTO should realise that at a multi lateral fora, concerns of all countries should be given equal weightage without any bias.
