India's forest cover is already inadequate and is going to be worse in 25 years due to pressure of population, a non-governmental think tank has warned in Washington on Monday. According to the Population Action International (PAI), by global standards low forest cover countries are defined as having less than 0.1 hc of forest cover per person and the forest cover for India in 1995 is already below this standard, 0.07 hc.
