- Indian helps develop alternative energy source

Among the scientists from 27 countries working at the world's most advanced nuclear fusion laboratory, near the university city of Oxfod, is an Indian Dr. Ved Bhatnagar, a native of Meerut. He is a research scientist at the JET project, the purpose of which is to develop a machine which will produce nuclear energy by the process of fusion, rather than fission, which is the basis of present-day reactors and power plants.
