In a noteworthy achievement, Narmada Hydroelectric Development Corporation (NHDC) has registered a profit in the first three months of the partial commissioning of its power project at Indira Sagar in Madhya Pradesh. The company posted a profit of Rs 12.37 crore for the January-March 2004 period on a turnover of Rs 30 crore and even managed to pay a dividend of Rs 2.5 crore to its two shareholders.
