Indonesia to become SE-Asia's leading LNG producer

The latest struck of huge natural gas reserves by an American oil company in Indonesia's Irian Jaya region will enable the country to become a leading producer of liquedied natural gas (LNG) in the Southeast Asian region, according to a governemnt official.The survey conducted by the oil company Arco shows that oil reserves found in Manokwari regency of Irian Jaya are the largest reserves in South East Asia with a reach of 15 trillion cubic feet, Manokwari district chief Mulyono said on Saturday.
