Pakistan's Indus River System Authority (Irsa) on Thursday failed to reach consensus on water shortage sharing, and asked provinces to show flexibility in national interest. Secretary Irsa Sohail Ahmad Khan told a news conference after the meeting that no decision could be made and stalemate prevailed over the question of sharing the water shortages.
