The working group constituted by the Ministry of Rural development in its recent report, submitted to the Centre Government, has recommended the participation of the private sector in the rural infrastructure sector. It has suggested to work out projects that can be implemented in collaboration with the private sector like water management, tree plantation, building and maintenance of roads under the Prime minister Rural Roads Yojana, said Mr. Shanta Kumar, Minister of Rural Development.
