Indian Oil Corporation is likely to withdraw from its earlier planned move to pick up 24 per cent equity stake in the 300-mw Surat thermal power project, jointly promoted by the National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC)and the Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC).
