Ireland said yesterday it was taking action against the British government over a controversial nuclear fuel manufacturing plant in northwest England which has yet to start operating. Joe Jacob, Ireland's minister responsible for nuclear safety, said he would take Britain to an arbitration panel for withholding information he says is crucial to deciding whether the plant should start up or not.
