The Irish government said yesterday it had granted seven licences to allow four consortiums to test locations off Ireland's east coast for offshore wind electricity generating stations. The Department of the Marine and Natural Resources said three licences were issued to Northern Ireland's Harland and Wolff, owned by Norway's Fred Olsen Energy.
