A big natural gas discovery in the Atlantic Ocean off Ireland's west coast is expected to influence how the country's fast-growing energy markets are developed. The discovery was confirmed after a consortium of international petroleum companies led by Enterprise Oil of the UK said a second well drilled on the Corrib site 70km from Achill Island flowed at an even higher rate than the original exploration well drilled three years ago.
