Technical wing of Irrigation department is planning to enhance capacity of pump canals in several districts which would bring additional 4265 hectare area under irrigation facility. The project for enhancing capacity of canals in Allahabad, Chandauli and Banda districts costing 1266 lakh will be completed in current fiscal 2010-11, state Minister for Irrigation (Technical), Jaiveer Singh on Sunday said. With directions for completion of the project in stipulated one year time funds have been allocated for respective districts, he said.
