The population of the Jaipur division will touch 7.16 crores in 2050 AD, which will be five times higher than the population of 1.72 crores projected in 2001, if the current rate of population growth remains uncehcked. Making provision for drinking water, education, healthcare, houses, irrigation and industries for the gigantic mass of humanity is indeed going to be a mammoth task.
