Jharkhand may get special economic zone

The Jharkhand government is all set to set up a Special Economic Zone in the state to boost the trade and economy. Chief minister Arjun Munda has submitted a proposal to the union government in this regard and he has been assured on it. Considering the positive response from the union government, the state cabinet has already approved the Jharkhand Special Economic Zone Police (JSEZP). The main features of of the policy are Single Window System, 50 per cent exemption on stamp duty and Registration Fee on transfer of land to Special Economic Zone (SEZ). The state industry department will be the nodal agency, the different departments like energy, taxes, revenue and other departments will participate in it.
