Jammu and Kashmir is one of eight Indian states to implement Environmental Education in School System(EESS) Project under India Environment Management Capacity Building Project. The purpose of implementing EESS project is to strengthen infusion of Environmental Education(EE), create a separate space and time for EE in the curriculam, use non-formal methods in EE through the involvements of NGOs and to train teachers for the meaningful transaction of EE in schools.
