The Energy Efficiency Regulation, which is aimed at maximising the use of electricity for export competitiveness and environment protection, will be implemented in June. Malaysia's Energy, Communications and MultiMedia Minister Datuk Leo Moggie said the regulation was in the final stages of being drafted. "We aim to cut cost, boost competitiveness and protect the environment with the introduction of this regulation," he told a press conference after opening a seminar on "The Study on Energy Efficiency and Conservation (Industrial Sector)" yesterday.
