The Nuclear Power Corporation (NPC) will bestow the first phase of the 2x220-mw Kaiga nuclear power plant in the month of September this year to the nation. NPC officials disclosed that the plant would achieve the reactor critically by August 31. Kaiga Atomic Power Station(KAPS) is the sixth power plant in India's nuclear power programme.
