The Rs 2,275 cr. Kaiga nuclear power plant in Karnataka is expected to reach 'reactor cricicaliy' its first milestone- by June 1999. The construction of the second unit was almost over and, after reaching reactor criticality, several experiments would be conducted before power generation was started.
