"We are optimistic that the second unit of Kaiga atomic power station will attain criticality during the second week of September and commerical production will start in January next," said Mr V K Sharma, Project Director of the Kaiga plant. Kaiga has six units totally each with a capacity of 220 MW. But only the first and second units are undertaken now.
