KAPS working condition safe

Report : An epidemiological study has given a clean chit to the Kakrapar Atomic Power Station (KAPS) revealing that there was no prevalence of cancer amongst the workers or their family members . The study said Kakrapar station was as safe as the other two at Tarapur and Rajasthan. The report titled 'Effects of lowdose inomsing radiation amongst the employees at KAPS' conducted by a team of doctors from the Tata Memorial Centre (TMC), was released by health minister Ashok Bhatt at Ahmedabad on Thursday during a seminar on benefits from radiation in industry and industry. The seminar was held at the National Institute of Occupational Health (NIOH).
