Karnataka focus on egovernance

As Karnataka steps into the election year, state chief minister S.M. Krishna plans to use egovernance to improve efficiency of his government, in order to reach out to the people at the lowest wrungs in cities and villages. Mr Krishna said the loud and clear demand from the people around the world is for "slimmer and more streamlined" government. This implies that the government should turn into an efficient supplier of services, with citizens as its customers.
