A Division Bench of the Karnataka High Court has ordered issue of notice to respondents, which include Bharat Petroleum, Hindustan Petroleum and Indian Oil Corporation, on a public interest writ petition filed seeking a direction to the three oil companies to reduce the sulphur content in the diesel supplied in Karnataka from 0.5 per cent to 0.05 per cent.
