Karnataka has offered to buy Enron power if it is made available at a reasonable tariff. The reaction comes in response to the Central Electricity Authority's (CEA) exercise to make the Enron venture workable. Karnataka, however, has conveyed that it will buypower only if the Dabhol Power Company (DPC) can offer it as below Rs 3 per KWH. The purchase price being quoted covers transmission costs.
