Kerala will move away from the practice of making incremental allocations to a new approach of structuring of schemes according to the relevance of sectors during the Tenth plan. The Governor, Mr. Sukhdev Singh Kang, said multiple strategies and specially designed schemes had been formulated to enhance job opportunities. The priority sectors would be information technology, tourism, health, bio-technology and infrastructure development.
